Hello!
Welcome this lovely series of my food reviews. I love food of all kinds. I am always willing to try new places and decided to use my enjoyment of the culinary arts to my flavor. lol
I will start off with one place that really impressed me by their good quality and friendliness.
On our trip to the Arches National Park, we stayed in a hotel that was just across the street
from Moab's Food Truck Park. Now, I hold food trucks to a higher esteem than all fast-food restaurants as I know their food is cooked fresh.
We arrived Saturday afternoon and checked in to our hotel. We went to sight see and got hungry.
I told my family to stay in the hotel and I will go and check what food they had to offer.
The Park has 11 different food trucks of all different sorts. I, of course, had to locate one with chicken strips and fries for the girls because they are not as adventurous with food choices quite yet.
As for my wife and I, we wanted some good tacos or burritos and with all the choices there, we found one food truck that hit our taste bud perfectly.
Tacos El Gordo is the first food truck on the left when you enter the Park. Their menu consists of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, sandwiches (tortas), and different plates.
We ordered there twice and each time the taste and quality of food was outstanding.
We ordered the tacos and burritos of steak (carne Asada) on the first time. And normally when you eat tacos or burritos, the steak is so greasy and oily, but this was on another level.
The steak was cooked well and juicy, but not greasy or oily which made every bite filled with explosive Latin flavors.
The following day my wife got the same tacos and I got quesadillas. Boy, was every bite with the hot sauce provided so delicious, I felt I was eating at a 5-star restaurant.
The Host was very welcoming and personable, which made ordering easy, fun, and fast.
If you plan to go Arches National Park, I recommend passing by Moab Food Truck Park and try Tacos El Gordo.
Trust me, you won't regret it!
